Automation Tester

• Design and implement automated test suites for complex, distributed, cloud-based applications.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and product teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the development process.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
• Continuously refine and improve testing strategies, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, testing frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation in test automation.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation for web applications.
• Solid understanding of testing concepts including functional, performance, and security testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn through experimentation (“learn by doing”).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with developers and product teams.

• Proven experience with modern test automation frameworks (especially Cypress and Playwright) using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of REST API testing and related tooling (e.g. Postman)
• Proficiency in using source code version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong analytical mindset and focus on reliability and maintainability of test suites.

• Good understanding of containerized environments — e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OCI images, and general cloud deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQLite, and ability to validate data-driven functionality.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with performance testing (e.g. jMeter or k6)
