You will:
- Own and maintain German‑language product documentation for selected products.
- Review and refine content authored by Product Managers, Business Analysts and Developers.
- Ensure language quality, domain accuracy and consistency with how functionality actually works in the software.
- Help make complex topics clear, structured and digestible for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Authoring & Editing
- Write, edit and maintain technical documentation in German (and sometimes English) for banking and regulatory reporting products.
- Transform drafts from product teams into clear, consistent, client‑ready documents.
- Ensure terminology and domain‑specific language are correct and used consistently.
- Quality & Consistency
- Validate that documentation accurately reflects the current behaviour of the software.
- Align content with internal standards, style guides and regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Work closely with Product Managers, BAs and Developers to clarify functionality and edge cases.
- Handling Complex Technical Content
- Understand and describe complex financial/regulatory concepts in an accessible way for end users.
- Structure information logically so users can quickly find and understand what they need.
- Tooling & Documentation‑as‑Code (Nice to Have / Future Direction)
- Contribute to the move from scattered Word/PDF/Confluence content towards structured documentation as code (e.g. Markdown, XML‑based formats like DITA, AsciiDoc, etc.).
- Work with documentation tooling and repositories that treat docs similarly to source code (version control, review workflows, etc.).
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Collaborate with existing documentation specialists and product teams.
- Participate in handovers and shadowing with current team members to build product and domain knowledge.
